So I watch Tyra Bank’s America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) off and on and the reruns sometimes on MTV. Last night was the current cycle 10’s finale. Instead of two hours it was trimmed to one hour with the final three gals Whitney, Fatima (Boston and survivor of female  and Anya entering with only being able to one emerge victorious.

I was psyched to see that a “full figured” or “juicy” model  (as some of the judges called her) Whitney Thompson won! It is sad they said those terms when in the real world she is a “hot” woman. But in the modeling industry she is “big”and “full figured”. I found it irritating.

I am not surprised Whitney win. I thought Fatima would give her a run for her money but it was her over confidence and not great pics and commercial that did not help. She was too fast in her delivery and robotic. Anya on the other hand botched her lines but she did have a nice energy about her. Paulina even said she seemed “dumb” in her final photo. Plus the other two girls were strong though Anya’s commercial was a “train wreck”. Anya has a “high fashion” face and takes gorgeous pics but her catwalk at Versace (biggest and best one yet on the finale) did not compare. While Whitney stepped it up on her catwalk and her commercial and pics were great.

*My sis shared with me that one french model was deemed “overweight” and she thought it ridiculous at 5′11 at 110 pounds and she did not menstruate for over a year. While the average American woman is 5′4 and 150 pounds according to something she read. These young women are starving themselves in this modeling industry to only be called “big”? My sister thinks they should just use real skeletons instead of human beings to model clothing.
