My friend’s mom Ms Chen cooked last night for my mom, me and her daughter. She is a great cook! SL is a lucky gal! She is very spoiled with a talented mom. She gave us Sichuan salad and various kinds of dumplings with her own homemade dipping sauces for each item. We had chive pockets, two types of dumplings one with shrimp and the other pork (mom cannot eat shrimp), egg rolls and won tons. I was in heaven and very full afterwards. I also enjoyed the peppermint soup which was a first.

I learned also that in my mom’s village they called peppermint -snake killer. Cool! Learn something new everyday!
